About me

With over 20 years’ experience in counselling, I support individuals and couples to navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and build a greater sense of calm and resilience.

I’m a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) (Registration No. 23678), and I bring both professional experience and a genuine, down-to-earth approach to my work.

I understand that from the outside, life can look fine, while internally things may feel overwhelming, stuck, or disconnected. You don’t have to manage that on your own.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what’s been happening for you. Together, we make sense of patterns, explore what’s beneath the surface, and find practical ways forward that feel manageable and meaningful.

I work with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

My Approach

My work is collaborative and tailored to you. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
For anxiety, depression, and unhelpful thought patterns
    (Adults, children, and couples)

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
    For trauma, PTSD, and anxiety
    (Adults)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
For communication, connection, and relationship issues
    (Adults and couples)

I integrate these approaches with a solution-focused perspective, helping you not only understand what’s happening, but also develop practical tools and strategies to move forward.

How I Work

Sessions are guided by both understanding and forward movement, at a pace that feels right for you.

Rather than focusing only on what’s happened, we also look at what might be keeping things stuck—and explore practical ways to help you feel more settled, more clear, and more like yourself again.

You might recognise yourself if:

  • You’re functioning, but don’t feel settled or at ease

  • You tend to overthink or replay things in your mind

  • You feel overwhelmed at times, even if you hold it together on the outside

  • You understand your patterns, but still find yourself repeating them

  • You feel like you’re managing yourself rather than feeling naturally okay

  • In your relationship, communication becomes difficult or falls into familiar cycles.

Over time, this helps you feel more grounded, clearer in your thinking, and less caught in the same patterns.

I believe that with the right support, it’s possible to work through difficulties and create lasting, positive change. My aim is to help you feel more grounded, more connected, and better equipped to handle whatever life brings.
